Analogue Photocopiers

Analogue photocopiers use xerography to copy papers. The word xerography comes from the Greek xeros, meaning dry, and graphos, meaning writing. The process of xerography involves an image or shadow being cast onto a photoconductive surface and then dry toner particles being attracted to the charged, or lit up areas on the surface. When you place a piece of paper into a photocopier, the bright light that you see from under the lid is casting the shadow onto the photoconductive plate. The copy passes through Teflon rollers and the toner sticks to the areas where the negative charge is on the plate. The copy is then heated, to set the toner, and the process is complete.

Digital Photocopiers In a digital photocopier, the image is first digitized using wavelength sensitive elements and stored in the photocopier’s memory. The image is then written onto the photoconductive drum just like in an analogue copier, only it is written using lasers. The copy is then printed onto the paper just like in an analogue photocopier. The advantage to digital photocopiers is that they are more precise and often clearer than analogue machines.

Life is like a photocopier, everything in your outer world, is a mirror of your internal world.

FAO Japanese office managers, leaving the Mikados above the photocopier could lead to a sexual harassment law suit.

I knew it. RT @Cereme 23% of all photocopier faults worldwide are caused by people sitting on them and photocopying their butts.

@Google I do not want a Blue Rodeo Copy. Roneo was a predecessor to the photocopier. Anyone would think you were born in the nineties.

Good to see Apple has discovered the photocopier "scale" function, inserted in an iPhone and created the new iPod Nano and the iPad.

Leeds Met people! The scan to email bit on the photocopier is awesome and saves paper everywhere. But, test first to avoid upside downage.

Just pwned the photocopier by guessing the 'secret' code that no one could remember. Now it will do my bidding.
